Successful people capture our attention. We emulate their habits, decision-making styles, and leadership qualities.
All of us gravitate to people we can relate to. We seek out people who are familiar, respected, and credible in our eyes. However, doing so tends to affirm our current beliefs. Challenge yourself to consider the thoughts of people from different professions, genders, philosophies, and eras. We learn from people who do not normally cross our paths, regardless of whether we agree with them or not.
